the aim of this course is to provide students with the skills to qualify for entry to middle level positions for a diverse range of IT job roles across the industry.
At the end of this course student will achieve the following:
- To understand computer/ Internet fundamentals.
- Knowledge of computer hardware components and assembly.
- Configure and administer a Local Area Network.
- Understanding DBMS and database administration.
- Operation of multi-user computer system.
- Understanding of software development process and computer programming.
- Knowledge of computer programming using 3GL, Object Oriented Language and in GUI environment.
- Knowledge of computer application testing.
- Understanding of role of IT in business and ethics and professionalism for IT industry in New Zealand
