Auckland Wise Institute offers the National Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care as a 36 week course of full time study. Graduates will have an extensive range of knowledge and skills across key elements of early childhood education, allowing them to progress either into further study, or into employment with an introduction of early childhood education and their role within an organization. Graduates will have particularly strong knowledge in the fields of professional practice, educational theory, learning and development family and community. The course: Entry Requirements: Completion of Year 12 or equivalent with good credits from their home country, and an IELTS minimum of 6.0 with no level lower than 6.9 / or English language skills measured by the Auckland Wise Institute’s placement test for National Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care (Level 5). Applicants are required to sign a personal and professional safety form agreeing to a Police check and must not have any criminal convictions which would preclude them from working with children in a position of trust, or have any medical, physical or psychological condition that would preclude them from working work with children. Note: if necessary, tuition of English as a second language is available at AWI for international students. Aditional Information Credits: 125 Course Level: 5 Course Length: 36 weeks
