Southern Lakes English College

Established in 1993, Southern Lakes English College is a quality English as a Second Language school registered on a 4-year cycle with the New Zealand Qualification Authority. This is the highest level for language schools in New Zealand.

Southern Lakes English College offers General English, International Examinations, English and skiing, snowboarding, Adventure Activities, work placement, and a variety of English Plus courses. We are an offsite testing centre for IELTS and Cambridge FCE and CAE examinations and a public testing centre for TOEIC.

We also have direct pathways to colleges and universities in New Zealand.

Our staff are well-qualified, experienced and caring. We pride ourselves on our supportive 'family' atmosphere where students make lifetime friendships as they study, do activities and have fun together.

The new facilities are located right in the centre of Queenstown and consist of classrooms and aself-catering student lounge with wonderful views of the Remarkables Mountains. This large sunny area is filled with recreational facilities including table tennis and games, free Wireless Internet throughout the whole school plus a library and self access materials available.
