Strathmore Community School
STRATHMORE COMMUNITY SCHOOL 1947-2010 Strathmore Park School was founded in 1947. In 2004 its name was changed to Strathmore Community School to reflect the school belonging to the community. Situated in Wellington's Eastern suburbs we are forging strong links with our community. Our school provides primary education for students up to year six. Students come from a variety of cultural backgrounds, offering a wide diversity of languages and experiences. Our school enjoys attractive grounds including a vegetable garden and orchard, a tennis court, basketball and netball courts, rugby and soccer fields, swimming pool and adventure playground. There are nine large teaching spaces, of which the school uses three for classrooms each with computers, a library, and a flexible use of space for assemblies and winter physical activities.
