Christchurch is the main centre of the Canterbury region, an elegant old city close to the Southern Alps.
Emphasis is placed on providing a caring environment where high standards of academic excellence are expected. The school accepts students from Year 9 to Year 13 and a wide range of subjects are available. In addition many extra-curricular activities are offered. These include golf, sailing, skiing and team sports such as soccer, hockey, rugby, badminton, table tennis, volleyball and basketball. The school has its own ESOL centre to give strong English support to our students. Tuition in musical instruments and drama are also available.
Students are met at Christchurch International Airport and transported free of charge to Timaru. Accommodation is in a homestay with a New Zealand family and all meals are provided.
The school provides excellent preparation for University study. Class sizes are limited and students receive close personal attention.
