Welcome to ECN English Academy, a high quality school where the education and well being of our students receives the utmost priority and your future is our goal.

We are a signatory to New Zealand Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students. We are the only Private Training Establishment in the region approved by the Ministry of Education to enroll international students aged from 11-13 years old. We enter an agreement with Public Trust for protection of student fees. Established in 2002, we have accepted students from different countries such as South Korea, Mainland China, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Germany, Uruguay, Brazil, etc. ECN has a high international reputation for excellent teaching staff, dedicated student welfare management team, and a uniquely personal focus.

ECN is located in Central Business District area of Hamilton, the center of the Waikato region and the fourth largest city in New Zealand. The school is very close to the city bus station, the city library, shopping and entertainment centers. The friendly and supportive environment of the school is conductive to the most positive and rewarding learning experiences. Classrooms are modern, comfortable and air-conditioned. The small class sizes (the maximum class size is 12) enable individual interaction with the tutors leading to the development of fluent and accurate English. At ECN, there is a large student common room where you can relax and chat between classes, read newspapers and magazines and have lunch. Coffee and tea are provided free of charge. ECN also has a library, an audio and video room, and a computer room with free and high speed access to the Internet. We provide homestay arrangement and airport pick-up services. Leisure activities are also arranged outside class time or in the weekends. All students can receive both academic and personal counseling. ECN has developed pathway relationships with a number of high schools and tertiary institutions.
