This programme is designed to provide students with an understanding of the principles of criminal law, evidence and procedure, expert evidence and the presentation of expert evidence in court. Incorporated in the curriculum are: Probability, statistics and the interpretation of scientific evidence, forensic psychiatry and forensic psychology, and techniques and applications for forensic science.
The diploma usually takes one year to complete. It requires candidates to have high-level graduate backgrounds in science, medicine, technology or related topics. A candidate's professional experience is also taken into account in the selection process.
